Horror Camgirl - Ch. 33: The New Terror Broadcast
“Oh my god, what are those things on her face?” The beautiful woman screamed loudly, “So disgusting, I can’t even eat my breakfast.”
Tang Mingli frowned and coldly said, “Guo Xuan, keep your woman in check.”
Guo Xuan laughed mockingly, “Tang Mingli, is this your woman? Your taste is truly unique. In the past, we thought you kept your distance from women because you valued your integrity. Who would have thought you have a special preference?”
Tang Mingli slowly stood up, his gaze sharp as a knife, and coldly glared at him, saying, “Guo Xuan, is your skin itching again?”
Guo Xuan immediately stepped back, looking at him warily, “Tang Mingli, you’re just a foreigner living off the Guo Family. If it weren’t for your uncle valuing you, do you think you could stay in the Guo Family for even a few days?”
Tang Mingli looked at him as if he were an ant, saying, “So what? Guo Xuan, you think you’re the legitimate heir of the Guo Family, but how much of the family business can you really touch? The old man has seen through you. You lack both talent and strength; you’re destined to have no future in this life, which is why he lets you squander your time outside. Look at your older brother; does he act like you?”
Guo Xuan was so furious he trembled, pointing at Tang Mingli’s nose, “Tang Mingli, just wait! Don’t think that with Guo Tianfeng protecting you, you can do whatever you want. One day, I’ll beat you down until you beg for mercy.”
After saying this, he glared at me with resentment and turned to leave. The beautiful woman hurried after him, trying to take his arm, but he slapped her down to the ground.
“Coward,” Tang Mingli said calmly. “Jun Yao, don’t let a fly disturb our pleasure; let’s continue.”
He ordered a large table of dishes, and we cleared it in no time. Just as we finished eating, a figure appeared in front of us, smiling, “I seem to have come at the wrong time.”
“If you had come earlier, you could have joined us for a meal,” Tang Mingli replied with a smile.
It was Xiao Lin from the Special Department.
“Without any business, you wouldn’t come here. What brings you here?” Tang Mingli asked.
Xiao Lin replied, “According to Black Rock TV’s regulations, we must broadcast live once a week, or we will be demoted. Have you found any new topics?”
I sensed something in his tone, “Do you have a case you want me to help with?”
Xiao Lin’s face turned slightly red, and he coughed awkwardly, “I’m here to provide you with a topic.” He took out a dossier and handed it to us. As I looked through it, a black-and-white photo came into view.
It was a deserted factory, and even under the sunlight, a chilling atmosphere pervaded the air.
“This is the South City Chemical Factory,” Xiao Lin said. “This incident happened over twenty years ago. The South City Chemical Factory was on the verge of bankruptcy due to poor management. The day before the factory director announced the bankruptcy, there was a chemical leak in the plant, resulting in the deaths of thirteen people, including Director Zhu Changde. Later, when the state cleared the Chemical Plant and took away the corpses, they found that there should have been sixteen people present that night, but three went missing. The case was hastily closed for various reasons, and those three were treated as missing persons.”
He paused before continuing, “But three days ago, someone claimed to have seen those three people in the abandoned factory.”
I flipped through the dossier; the three individuals were named Guang Bo, Cao Yu, and Lang Gui. They were all from Yang Goat County and had come to the city to work as low-level equipment repairmen in the Chemical Plant.
On that terrifying night of death, they mysteriously disappeared.
Did they kill those people and then flee? If so, why did they return?
Xiao Lin continued, “Since that incident, the South City Chemical Factory has been completely abandoned, and there have been rumors of hauntings. Over the years, many adventurers have entered and died inside. So the city has decided to demolish it by the end of this year and build a school.”
Typically, such cursed sites are turned into schools because students have strong Yang energy, which, along with the vibrant cultural atmosphere, can suppress evil spirits.
“What do you think?” Xiao Lin asked. “Are you interested?”
Tang Mingli looked at him meaningfully and said, “You want us to uncover the truth from back then. What’s in it for us?”
Xiao Lin pulled at his mouth, “I won’t beat around the bush. If you can find out the truth, the reward is five hundred thousand. How does that sound?”
I was tempted; that was a full five hundred thousand.
Tang Mingli pressed down on my hand, saying, “This case will surely be very dangerous. Five hundred thousand is not very sincere.”
Xiao Lin’s facial muscles twitched slightly; this Tang Shao was indeed difficult to deal with: “We at the Special Department are also tight on case funding. But in consideration of Madam Yuan, I’ll try to push for eight hundred thousand. That’s the best I can do.”
Tang Mingli knew this was already the limit. He nodded at me, and of course, I readily agreed, feeling a little giddy.
Previously, I worked hard for a year and only made about twenty to thirty thousand. Now, I was talking about hundreds of thousands in minutes; it felt like a dream.
At that moment, I had no idea that in a mansion somewhere in Shan City, Wei Ran stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a Havana cigar, looking serious.
“Sir,” his personal attendant came in and said, “The person you invited has arrived.”
“Let him in.”
A gaunt old man entered, wearing a Tang suit so dirty it was unrecognizable, with bits of food stuck in his disheveled beard.
But Wei Ran did not dare show any disrespect, politely saying, “Master Dong, welcome to Shan City.”
“Mr. Wei, stop with the formalities. Tell me, who am I supposed to kill this time?”
“Master Dong, you are straightforward.” Wei Ran replied, “However, I didn’t invite you here to kill anyone.”
Master Dong scoffed, “You still have times when you don’t kill?”
Wei Ran handed over two photographs, saying, “This young man is called Tang Mingli, and the woman is named Yuan Junyao. Tang Mingli is the disciple of my rival, and Yuan Junyao is useful to me. I want to turn them against each other.”
Master Dong stroked his beard and laughed, “This woman has a Karma Sore on her face; how interesting. Alright, I’ll take the job.”
Wei Ran was overjoyed and said, “According to reliable sources, they will head to the abandoned Chemical Plant in the south of the city tonight. Master Dong can take action there. However, this Chemical Plant is somewhat dangerous; it’s said to be haunted, with countless deaths.”
Master Dong snorted coldly, “Am I, Dong, afraid of ghosts? What a joke!”
“That goes without saying,” Wei Ran said, a glint of excitement flashing in his eyes. “So, I’ll trouble you, Master.”
After some preparations, I strapped on the Peachwood Sword made from Thunder-Struck Wood and got into Xiao Lin’s Hummer H.
Seeing that he was fully equipped, I was surprised, “You’re participating too?”
He revealed a mysterious smile and pulled out a mask.
It was a white mask, looking pale and featureless, but under the moonlight, it appeared even more terrifying.
When we arrived at the Chemical Plant, I opened the Live Stream Room and titled it: **“The Terrifying Night from Twenty Years Ago: Exploring the Abandoned Chemical Plant.”**
As soon as I started the live stream, over ten thousand people flooded in.
Seeing the barrage of comments almost made me grin with joy, and the viewership skyrocketed to one hundred thousand.
“Everyone, let’s get down to business. I’ll first explain the history of this Chemical Plant.” I carefully recounted the story.
“Tonight, besides myself and Tyrant, we have a special guest.” I turned the camera to Xiao Lin and said, “This brother, please tell the audience what to call you.”
Xiao Lin, wearing the pale mask, turned to the camera and said ominously, “Hello everyone, I am the White Ghost.”
The viewership of the Live Stream Room had already surpassed three hundred thousand, as Black Rock TV vigorously promoted it across channels, with my live stream appearing prominently on platforms like QQ, Wangyi, and Weibo.
Seeing that it was about time, I announced, “Everyone, it’s time to test your courage. Join me as we uncover the truth of this haunted abandoned factory.”
With that, I strode into the factory grounds, a chill penetrating my bones, causing me to shiver involuntarily.
I quickly channeled my internal energy to block the cold and felt a little better.
I subtly glanced at Tang Mingli and Xiao Lin; Tang Mingli showed no reaction, while Xiao Lin’s hand trembled slightly.
I spun around, allowing my phone, which hung from my neck, to capture the entire factory area.
I was suddenly startled, looking up to see a two-story building, one of its windows lit up.
I gasped; this villa had been abandoned for decades, and who knew how long the electricity had been cut—how could there still be a light on?
Something strange was definitely going on.
I signaled Tang Mingli with my eyes and cautiously approached the room, peering over the windowsill. It was a duty room, and everything inside was pristine, with documents spread out on the desk, where two men and a woman were immersed in work.
Suddenly, they seemed to sense something and slowly turned their heads. In that instant, I saw their faces clearly.
They were charred all over, their eyelids and lips burned away, exposing their grim white teeth in a terrifying grin.
I quickly covered my mouth to stifle a scream and fell to the ground.
Suddenly, the lights in the room went out.
The Live Stream Room erupted in panic.
Tang Mingli helped me up, and as we looked inside again, the place was empty and dirty—there were no documents or ghostly figures.
Everything that had just happened felt like a hallucination.
Seeing my hand tremble slightly, Tang Mingli whispered, “Don’t be afraid; I’m here.”
We cautiously pushed open the large iron door of the two-story building and checked around, finding nothing out of the ordinary.
Suddenly, Xiao Lin pressed a hand on me and said, “Someone’s coming.”
We looked out the window and saw four boys and girls laughing as they entered the factory.
I was startled and immediately shouted, “Are those audience members? Friends in the audience, hunting ghosts is very dangerous. Non-professionals should evacuate immediately—there is a risk to life! This is not a joke!”
The four young people didn’t even glance at their phones. I panicked and ran outside, shouting, “Quick, go back! It’s dangerous in there!”
The four young people looked at me with confusion, “Who are you?”
I was taken aback, “Aren’t you here because you watched my live stream?”
