Horror Camgirl - Ch. 39: Continuous Conspiracy
Guo Xuan pointed at him and said, "This is the Guo Family; when did it become your turn to interrupt as an outsider?"
"Shut up." A voice, old yet powerful, rang out. Everyone was startled as they saw an elderly man in a gray Zhongshan suit striding towards them.
The three Guo Family members were taken aback; wasn’t the old man supposed to be near death just a few days ago? How could he suddenly look so alive?
At that moment, Old Master Guo was nothing like a sick man. He was full of vigor, his sharp and bright eyes gleamed with life, and his hands, which had trembled continuously after his stroke, were now steady and strong. He walked with a forceful stride, as if he had suddenly regained twenty years of youth.
"Old, old master, you're better?" Guo Tianxiong exclaimed.
Old Master Guo snorted, "What? Don’t you want me to get better?"
Guo Tianxiong hurriedly replied, "Old master, I'm just happy for you. What miraculous medicine did you take?"
Old Master Guo said, "Thanks to Ming Li, who found the Spiritual Medicine for me, my illness was cured. He is a benefactor to our family. Look at your two sons—what kind of behavior is this? This young lady is Ming Li’s friend, a friend of the Guo Family. Is this how you treat friends? Do you want to give me a heart attack?"
Old Master Guo had a long-standing authority, and the three of them lowered their heads, not daring to speak. He walked over to me and said, "Young lady, these two rascals don’t know any better; don’t take it to heart. I’ll make them apologize to you."
After saying that, he glared fiercely at the two of them: "Aren’t you going to come over?"
The two of them were reluctant but dared not defy his command, so they reluctantly said, "Sorry."
Their lowered eyelids were filled with resentment.
I blinked back tears, gritting my teeth, and choked out, "It’s okay."
Tang Mingli narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold light flashing in them.
Old Master Guo sighed and said, "Tianxiong, it’s a father’s fault if you don’t educate properly. You don’t have to stay in the old house anymore; take these two sons back and teach them well."
Guo Tianxiong’s expression changed. The old master seemed to want to take a step back from family matters?
"Old master," Guo Tianxiong said angrily, "I am still your son; Guo Tianfeng is just a branch of the family—what right does he have to manage family affairs?"
Old Master Guo shouted in anger: "You ungrateful child, who I let manage the family matters is none of your business. Get out, all of you, get out!"
Guo Tianxiong snorted and swept away in a huff.
As Guo Xuan left, he shot a cold glance at me, a sinister smile curling his lips: "Watch out, ugly girl."
Tang Mingli said, "If you have any grievances, take them up with me."
Guo Xuan fell silent, but the hatred in his eyes was as sharp as a knife.
After everyone left, Old Master Guo said, "Ming Li, who was the one who sold us the Spiritual Medicine? We need to thank him properly."
Tang Mingli replied, "I promised that elder not to reveal his information to anyone."
Old Master Guo sighed, "What a pity! If we could invite him to our house as a guest, the Guo Family could definitely advance further."
Tang Mingli said meaningfully, "Rest assured, old master; you will get your wish."
Old Master Guo's face lit up with joy but quickly returned to normal: "Then I’ll take your good words to heart."
I was secretly surprised. From Old Master Guo’s demeanor, he seemed to hold Tang Mingli in high regard. If it was true, as rumored outside, that Tang Mingli was just living under someone else’s roof, how could the old master have such an attitude?
The only explanation was that Tang Mingli had a deeper background.
The Tang Family must be a much larger clan; he simply hadn’t revealed his identity.
After resolving Old Master Guo's issue, Tang Mingli drove me home. Just as we entered the house, he said, "Jun Yao, I have a gift for you."
I was bewildered when suddenly the door opened, and a tall middle-aged man walked in, throwing a man down at my feet.
I gasped; the man was the same slender, lecherous guy who had attacked me before, now battered and bloodied.
"Young Master," the tall middle-aged man slightly bowed.
Tang Mingli nodded, "Uncle Zhong, thank you for your hard work."
Uncle Zhong said expressionlessly, "It's what I should do."
Tang Mingli grabbed the hair of the slender, lecherous man and lifted him up, saying, "Dong Ming, you have some nerve."
Dong Ming trembled all over, crying out in fear, "Young Master Tang, if I had known you were from the Tang Family, I wouldn’t have dared, even if you gave me a hundred times the courage. I was wrong; please spare me this once."
Tang Mingli coldly asked, "Tell me, who sent you?"
"It was Wei Ran, the Wei Family Head." He spilled the beans about Wei Ran without hesitation, "The Wei Family Head has hired me several times to assassinate his rivals; this time, he wanted me to sow discord between the two of you."
I understood. He spared my life out of concern for my "master" behind me.
"I can tell you everything Wei Ran wanted me to do, Young Master Tang, as long as you spare my life," Dong Ming pleaded.
"I'm not interested." Tang Mingli turned to me and said, "How do you want to deal with him?"
I frowned and replied, "Hand him over to the police."
Dong Ming visibly relaxed.
Tang Mingli smiled and said, "Uncle Zhong, do as Jun Yao said."
Dong Ming kept bowing, "Thank you, Young Master Tang, thank you, Madam Yuan."
At that time, I didn’t realize that just a few days after he was taken in, he died inside due to a brawl. I felt a chill run down my spine; it was evident that this was Wei Ran's doing.
Dong Ming knew too much.
The next day, I visited my brother in the hospital and stopped by a bookstore to buy two books. Doctor Qin advised me to talk to him often, tell him stories; over time, it might help.
As I arrived at the door, I hesitated for a moment, peering through the crack. I saw that beautiful nurse was injecting dirty water from wiping the table into An Yi's feeding tube.
Since my brother fell into a vegetative state, he could no longer eat and had to be fed liquid food through a gastric tube, usually chicken soup or milk, and it had to be warm to avoid harming his stomach. How could she dare to inject dirty water?
I trembled with anger, kicked the door open, and shouted, "What are you doing?"
The nurse was startled. I rushed over, grabbed her wrist, and shoved her harshly to the ground. "Why are you doing this? Who instructed you?"
The nurse’s eyes darted around, and she jumped up to run outside. I quickly surged forward, grabbed her hair, and tripped her again.
"Help! Murder!" she screamed.
Doctors rushed out, indignantly asking, "What are you doing? Let her go immediately!"
Doctor Qin looked at me with confusion, sensing that I was not the type to cause trouble, and asked, "Madam Yuan, what’s going on?"
My eyes were red with rage. "She injected dirty water into my brother's stomach!"
"What?" A nearby doctor exclaimed in disbelief, "There must be some mistake; Xiao Huang isn’t that kind of person."
"Her tools are still in the ward!" I yelled. "If you don’t believe me, everyone can come and see; be witnesses."
Chinese people love a spectacle, so they all flocked over. Next to the hospital bed was a basin of dirty water. I picked up the syringe to show Doctor Qin, and his face immediately changed: "Huang Xin! Are you crazy?"
Huang Xin gritted her teeth, refusing to say a word. I was burning with fury, grabbing her collar and lifting her up. "Tell me, who instructed you to do this?"
In the scuffle earlier, my hat had fallen off, revealing two lumps on my forehead, and combined with my fierce expression, I must have looked quite terrifying.
Huang Xin turned pale with fear, trembling all over. "I can’t say. If I do, my parents will be finished."
Doctor Qin furrowed his brow and gently pressed down on my shoulder, saying, "Don’t panic; I’ll help you investigate."
I took a deep breath and released Huang Xin.
Soon, the police arrived and took Huang Xin away, but her offense was minor; she would be detained for at most two days.
I looked sadly at my frail brother in bed and clenched my fists tightly.
Qin Ai said sternly, "Madam Yuan, don’t worry; such things won’t happen again."
After the incident, I heard that Huang Xin was released in a couple of days. The hospital refused to dismiss her, and it was only because Qin Ai argued persuasively that she voluntarily resigned.
Qin Ai called me to subtly remind me that I had offended a member of a prominent family.
Guo Xuan, you are being too overbearing!
Night fell, and the lights of Shan City sparkled; for many people, this was just the start of their day.
At midnight, I arrived outside a KTV, and from a distance, I saw Guo Xuan coming out with two women, one of whom was the beautiful nurse, Huang Xin.
A cold light filled my eyes.
Tonight, Guo Xuan hadn’t chosen Huang Xin to accompany him; she had to take a taxi home alone while Guo Xuan had bodyguards with him. I couldn’t take action against him yet and could only deal with Huang Xin first.
In the past, I might have just cried over such a situation, but things were different now. If I continued to endure it, what was the point of soaking in a medicinal bath and practicing my skills every day?
I took out some cinnabar and drew a talisman in the palm of my hand.
Last time at the hospital, I discovered that Huang Xin was entangled with two infant spirits, both of whom were aborted fetuses, but they were too weak to affect her at all.
I was wearing a coat and brushed past her, taking the opportunity to stamp the talisman on their heads.
When Huang Xin returned home, her parents were both working-class, and they could afford such a nice house only because she had gotten involved with several wealthy men. Now that she had latched onto a big shot like Guo Xuan, if she could secure him and make some money, she wouldn’t have to worry about living expenses for the rest of her life.
Proud of herself, she took out the LV bag Guo Xuan had bought her and admired herself in the mirror.
Suddenly, she saw a hand.
It was a pale little hand reaching out from her flat stomach.
"Ah!" She dropped the bag and fell to the ground, watching as little hands ripped open her belly, followed by a bloody head emerging from inside.
