Eldritch Horror Theatre - Ch. 95: King of the White Tower (17)

Rebirth Club?

You know your sister quite well, guessing she would mix with that crowd.

Fu Qian glanced at Veil and gave her a thumbs up.

Of course, Fu Qian didn't tell her that the sister she cared so much about was already a part of that monster.

"I know the place. Follow me."

Fu Qian waved his hand, signaling her to keep up.

Following the route in his memory, he led Veil and quickly found the Rebirth Club's bar.

Under the moonlight, the three-armed muscular man at the door had mutated into a five-legged creature.

The moment he saw Fu Qian and Veil, he let out a low growl and lunged at them on all fours.

Unfortunately, before he even landed, he was hit head-on by an Air Bullet and went flying backward.

Where he had been crouching were two badly gnawed, mangled corpses.

This scene instantly drained the color from Veil's face.

"This is it."

Fu Qian didn't hesitate and pushed the door open to walk inside.

Whoosh!

Almost instantaneously, a cold gleam shot toward him.

Fu Qian shot out his right hand, once again catching a spear between two fingers.

The next moment, a heart-wrenching roar echoed through the room, and a dark figure pounced.

Fu Qian easily dodged to the side, getting a clear look at the attacker's true form.

He considered himself quite knowledgeable and experienced, but he was still utterly amazed by the sight before him.

On a massive, top-heavy body, no less than twenty limbs extended in all directions like a sea urchin, with several heads mixed in between.

Supporting all of this at the bottom was a slender, four-legged equine body.

Judging by the number of limbs, it was highly likely that all the people he had seen earlier were part of this.

Fu Qian sighed and quickly spotted a pale grey eye on one of the hands.

The eye was already locked onto him.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The sensation of losing color lasted for less than half a second.

Fu Qian didn't give it a chance to continue casting illusions. He fired a barrage of Air Bullets, continuously blasting the sea urchin-like monster, sending limbs flying everywhere.

Finally, unable to hold on, the sea urchin collapsed to the ground with a loud crash.

A series of relieved wails echoed, sounding as if five or six people were groaning simultaneously.

"What in the world..."

Witnessing all this, Veil only managed half a sentence before covering her mouth and running to the side to vomit.

"This is the Rebirth Club you were looking for."

Fu Qian said once she had mostly finished throwing up.

"Though it looks like they won't be answering any of your questions."

Phew!

Veil, returning after throwing up, was not as fragile as one might imagine. She actually endured the nausea and stepped forward, trying to identify the deformed heads one by one.

After recognizing Jenny's brown hair amidst the bloody mess, it was obvious she breathed a sigh of relief.

At the same time, she couldn't hold it in any longer, covering her mouth as she rushed back outside.

Her condition seemed somewhat normal.

Was it really true that those who had undergone Grafting were more affected?

Veil had her original limbs and was a Beyonder, making her one of the least affected.

"I've already given the pendant to your sister. I suggest you find a place to hide for now," Fu Qian told Veil.

Without waiting for her reaction, he pushed the door open and dashed swiftly toward Center Island.

The thunder was fading; it was time to finish the job.

...

By the time Fu Qian arrived, the old man Ibrahimovic was drawing a bow of lightning, electricity gathering on the bowstring.

The next moment, the monster's only remaining active tentacle was sliced clean in two, falling limply to the ground.

After unleashing this strike, the lightning on Ibrahimovic's body instantly dimmed, revealing his exhaustion.

Before him, the entire Laboratory had been reduced to Ruins.

"Sigh, still a step too late!"

Fu Qian sighed deeply and stepped forward.

"Aren't you..."

Ibrahimovic was visibly shocked the moment he saw Fu Qian.

He subconsciously looked at the monster's corpse, then back at Fu Qian, a look of utter disbelief on his face.

As expected, he had been thinking that the monster was my transformation.

From a certain perspective, this old man was quite straightforward.

"I guessed there would be problems at the Laboratory. After dealing with the hidden dangers in my own body, I rushed over all the way, but I didn't expect to still be a step too late."

Fu Qian sighed as he raised his arm, revealing a completely healed limb.

"You went to deal with the contamination on your body?"

Ibrahimovic scrutinized Fu Qian coldly, his face full of suspicion.

Quite impressive!

Even though the other party was in poor condition after the fierce battle, being stared at by those sharp eyes made Fu Qian feel as though he couldn't hide anything.

Truly worthy of the legendary Demigod.

"That's right."

Fu Qian nodded.

"Yesterday, Lu Ming lured me here and deliberately made me touch a bizarre tentacle. I felt something was wrong right then, but I didn't expect to almost fail to suppress it during the match."

"However, I found a place to take care of it just now, and I'm fine now."

"What happened here? And what's going on with the moon in the sky?"

"This... I'm not sure either."

After staring at Fu Qian for a long time, Ibrahimovic finally turned his head, shifting his gaze to the massive monster corpse.

"I originally thought... Anyway, I sensed this thing and rushed over immediately. Soon after, the blood moon appeared in the sky. I previously thought the celestial anomaly was caused by this monster, but now I am absolutely certain it is dead, yet the blood moon hasn't disappeared."

Ibrahimovic shook his head.

"It's very strange; I can't figure it out."

As expected, even this Demigod didn't realize things had been reset.

Earlier, before killing Bai Jinting, this guy had clearly noticed me and turned back.

Yet right now, his memory was stuck at the point of fighting this monster.

A method that even a Demigod isn't immune to? Something's definitely fishy!

"I'll go take a look at the White Tower."

Fu Qian said, and without waiting for a reply, he bolted toward the White Tower.

Ibrahimovic was severely exhausted and had lost the ability to stop him.

This also spared him the need to finish the old man off.

Of course, if he tried to force a stop, he would have no choice but to take his head.

Now that it was confirmed the monster had nothing to do with the blood moon, whoever started the trouble had to end it. Might as well go have a chat with Bai Jinting.

...

Upon entering the White Tower again, the inside had become a hell-tier carnival.

In the stands, all sorts of monsters and demons were leaping about, their bodies fully beastified.

Fusion creatures resembling sea urchins were wreaking havoc everywhere, devouring targets or being devoured by even larger amalgamations.

Kicking away a pouncing monster, Fu Qian didn't hesitate. He repeated his previous trick, leaping toward the stands.

This time, he faced much more resistance.

The mutated audience members had become extremely aggressive. With almost every step, various monsters lunged at him, while Fu Qian shifted through various moves, dodging as he ascended.

For a moment, it felt like playing some ancient arcade beat-'em-up game.

Finally, after breaking through numerous obstacles, Fu Qian once again jumped onto Bai Jinting's viewing platform.

Bai Jinting was still the only one on the platform, relishing the hellish scene below with great interest.

Seeing Fu Qian, his expression darkened once again.

"Why?"

"Take a guess!"

Fu Qian didn't rush to attack this time; instead, he dragged over a chair and sat down.

"Ah, I know!"

Bai Jinting looked thoughtful at first, then suddenly cried out, putting on an expression of sudden realization.

"You've come to kill me again!"
