Eldritch Horror Theatre - Ch. 116: The Hunter Desires Blood (16)
Everything happened in a flash.
From his appearance until now, this was the first time Henrik had made a sound.
Even though the wound on his back was shocking, he still did not fall.
Clang!
Dropping the long knife in his hand to the ground, Henrik crawled down into a pool of blood.
That was the Chen Family disciple he had killed when he first appeared.
Landing on all fours like an animal, he actually started devouring the severed limbs on the ground directly.
The crunching sound of chewing echoed.
This highly impactful scene almost scared the wits out of Chen Mingfei, who was standing to the side.
As chunks of flesh and blood were devoured, Henrik's body began to tremble, and needle-like hair started growing all over his face and limbs.
Not only that, but white bones pierced through the wound on his back, forming two ghastly white bone plates in the blink of an eye.
Damn! Even the spot for a Visceral Critical Strike is gone! Is this a complete beastification?
Fu Qian frowned as he watched from the side.
Setting beastification aside for a moment, aren't you a bit too obsessed!
In his field of vision, the fully transformed Henrik had raised his head again.
His bloodstained face was still staring right at him.
Weren't you only interested in Mental Types? Logically speaking, anyone else here should be tastier than me, right? Why are you fixating on me!
Not to mention others, right next to me is the soft and chewy Wen Li!
Complaints aside, looking into Henrik's crazed eyes, Fu Qian wasn't actually afraid.
Even though the aura solely exuded by the transformed Henrik faintly carried the flavor of a Demigod.
However, giving up intelligence for power has rather obvious flaws.
An animal's actions are always easier to predict than a human's.
For example, right now.
The next moment, Henrik, on all fours, turned into a streak of bloody light and charged headlong toward him.
As expected, it's this reckless boar charge!
Just now, when Henrik was preparing his stance, Fu Qian had already recalled the crocodile monster he had torn apart with his bare hands.
The facts proved his guess was right.
However, Demigod-level strength is truly no small matter.
Even having anticipated the move, that terrifying speed almost left him unable to react.
When Fu Qian dodged, the sharp teeth in Henrik's mouth almost bit into his throat.
Narrowly dodging the strike, Fu Qian quickly widened the distance.
Actually, to deal with this kind of opponent, theoretically, he could completely replicate the strategy used to kill the crocodile monster: directly turn his hand into a spear and face him head-on.
At most, he would suffer some injuries. Fu Qian had full confidence in wearing him down to death.
However, on one hand, Fu Qian didn't want to expose his shapeshifting ability, and on the other, he didn't want to perform too outrageously.
Solo-killing a Demigod-level monster would inevitably arouse suspicion.
Most importantly, even though he saw the main target, he still hadn't discovered anything like the Blood of Thorns.
He had personally unleashed the Visceral Critical Strike just now. Henrik's blood had splattered everywhere, but it didn't look anything special.
All of this gave Fu Qian a faint premonition: even if he killed Henrik here, he probably wouldn't find the Blood of Thorns.
Then he shouldn't expose himself for now!
Fu Qian quickly made up his mind. At this moment, Henrik's second charge had arrived.
The speed seemed slightly slower this time?
Fu Qian calmly dodged and glanced to the side.
Wen Li, who had stood up, was standing to the side with her lips pursed tight, staring fixedly at Henrik.
Emotion Amplification?
A thought stirred in Fu Qian's mind. This girl had some courage; she was much better than the guy who could only scream.
Even so, to interfere with someone of Henrik's level was almost impossible under normal circumstances.
However, Henrik was already in a berserk state, and his emotions were extremely intense, so it finally had a trace of effect.
Under Emotion Amplification, Henrik, having missed again, let out an agonized roar and slammed his head against the ground several times.
Yet, what left him speechless was that after the slamming, Henrik, looking even more furious, raised his head and still stared fiercely at his side.
The facts proved that Wen Li's attack failed to draw the aggro.
Is my taunt level really that high?
Fu Qian sighed with emotion once again.
But it didn't matter. What kind of scene hadn't he seen before?
Fu Qian snorted. The next moment, scarlet light flashed, and a long whip lashed onto Henrik's body.
Tyrant's Fist: every lash could cause Sanity Loss to the target.
In fact, he wasn't entirely sure if this thing would be effective, especially against a target that had already suffered Sanity Loss.
But he was also a bit curious to see what extent Tyrant's Fist paired with Wen Li's Emotion Amplification could ultimately reach.
Continuously dodging attacks, the long whip in Fu Qian's hand incessantly struck Henrik.
As he was repeatedly hit, Henrik became increasingly frantic. Sharp bone spikes even started to emerge all over his body, making his appearance even more hideous.
However, Fu Qian had slowly caught up with his speed; all his attacks were futile.
It was only a matter of time before he fell.
"Ah!"
Dodging Henrik's boar charge once more, Fu Qian heard a miserable scream from behind.
Fu Qian glanced back, only to see Chen Mingfei clutching his leg and screaming wildly.
This guy had just scrambled up and hid to the side, but unluckily, he was hit by the rubble sent flying by Henrik and was instantly wounded.
Perhaps his interest was piqued by the scream; Henrik's completely bloodshot eyes finally shifted away from Fu Qian and locked onto Chen Mingfei.
The latter was scared out of his wits for a moment and subconsciously wanted to run.
But being locked on head-on by a Demigod, his reaction was exactly the same as Wen Li's: his whole body stiffened, unable to move.
Seeing Chen Mingfei fall into a desperate situation, an invisible force appeared the next moment.
This force carried him horizontally for several meters, dodging Henrik's fatal charge.
"I heard some commotion over here."
Deng Feizhou appeared to the side, scanning the surroundings with a solemn expression, and took a long, hard look at Fu Qian.
"I didn't expect him to run over here."
"Leave it to me."
As he spoke, Deng Feizhou waved his hand, and Chen Mingfei's body was sent two steps back again.
Bang! Bang!
At the same time, muffled explosions rang out, and two clouds of red storms appeared beneath Henrik's feet.
Two corpses of the Chen Family disciples exploded almost simultaneously.
The splattering flesh and blood bombarded Henrik, almost knocking him over.
Impressive power!
Fu Qian nodded, showing no intention of stepping forward to land the killing blow, completely taking on the role of a spectator.
Suddenly attacked, Henrik roared again, flipped up from the ground, and locked his gaze on Deng Feizhou.
The next moment, he arched his back, bent his knees, and leaped high into the air.
Isn't this jump a bit too high?
Fu Qian looked at Henrik in mid-air.
He leaped over the severed limbs, over the treetops, over Deng Feizhou, and finally landed directly on the roof behind.
Hmm?
Making such a huge scene, just to run away?
"Hmph, where are you escaping to."
Deng Feizhou sneered coldly and reached out to grasp at the void.
Henrik's movements on the roof stiffened, seemingly caught by an invisible hand.
However, it only lasted for half a second. The trapped Henrik roared at the sky, and the terrifying power in his body erupted.
Deng Feizhou let out a muffled groan and loosened his grip.
The restraints on the latter shattered, and he quickly disappeared from view.
