Horror Camgirl - Ch. 118: A Satisfying Face-Slapping

This looks-obsessed world can be truly hopeless.

We picked up Aunt Gui and her daughter from the hotel again. Taozi immediately rushed over, grabbed my hand, and said, "Jun Yao, look! Isn't my skin whiter now, and so much smoother too?"

I took a look, and sure enough, her skin was noticeably fairer than yesterday.

"And look at my mom." She pulled Aunt Gui over. "Haven’t the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes and mouth faded a lot?"

I nodded. She was so excited she exclaimed, "Jun Yao, we used your handmade soap last night. It's amazing! If we keep using it, I'll look eighteen again, and my mom will be twenty!"

I was speechless. "Isn't that a bit exaggerated?"

"Jun Yao, your handmade soap is really something," Aunt Gui said. "Too bad our family doesn't do cosmetics business; otherwise, we'd definitely produce your facial soap. There's absolutely a market for it."

An idea sparked in my mind. Although Elixir Pills can’t be mass-produced, cosmetics can. I should talk to Tang Mingli and see if we can collaborate to create a cosmetic brand.

Hu Di drove us to a luxury villa complex. A young man in a white Tang suit approached us. "Is this Madam Hu?" he asked.

Aunt Gui nodded and respectfully said, "Is Master Zhou in?"

"He is. Please follow me."

We entered one of the villas, and to my surprise, there was a small pond behind it. By the pond stood a large tree, one thick branch extending over the water. A middle-aged man in a traditional Republican-era robe sat cross-legged beneath the tree, giving off quite a mystical aura.

Aunt Gui stepped forward and bowed. "Master Zhou, I beg you, please help us."

Master Zhou remained motionless.

The young man in the white Tang suit said, "You must use sincerity to move Master Zhou."

Aunt Gui bit her lip and dropped to her knees with a thud. Taozi and Hu Di also tried to kneel, but I was alarmed and grabbed Aunt Gui. "Don't kneel to him! He's not worthy of your respect."

"Hmph!" The man in the white Tang suit snorted heavily, his face cold. "If you don't trust Master Zhou, then why are you here? Please leave."

Aunt Gui grew anxious. "Jun Yao, stop talking nonsense!" She then hurriedly turned to the young man and pleaded, "Master, please, speak to Master Zhou on our behalf. Jun Yao is just a child; if she offended anyone, I hope you can forgive her."

The young man gave me a sideways glance and said, "Unless she kneels down and apologizes, my master will not deal with you."

Aunt Gui turned to me, her face full of pleading. "Jun Yao, please help Aunt Gui, will you? Look at my hands—they're still trembling."

I held onto her and said, "Aunt Gui, putting your hope in him is pointless. Besides, making you kneel and beg is just insulting."

The young man’s face darkened again. "You have repeatedly disrespected the Master, and you must be punished!"

With that, he flipped his hand, and a burst of flame shot toward my face.

Aunt Gui was horrified. She leaped to her feet and stepped in front of me, about to take the flame head-on.

I was startled. Anger rose within me, and I raised my hand, grabbing the fireball.

"Ah!" Aunt Gui screamed. "Jun Yao, your hand!"

"My hand is fine." With a crackling sound, I crushed the flame and lunged towards the young man, tearing open his sleeve and revealing a small flame thrower inside.

The young man’s face turned pale with shock. "You—you dare…"

I tossed the flame thrower to Aunt Gui, who looked puzzled. "You… you really are con artists!"

Before she could finish speaking, we heard a loud voice. "Who said we're con artists?"

Master Zhou had turned around. In the sunlight, he exuded an extraordinary aura, and Aunt Gui hesitated again, even wanting to kneel once more.

I stopped her, saying, "Master Zhou, it’s only been a few days, and you’re getting more arrogant."

Master Zhou shuddered, scrutinizing me closely. Suddenly, he blurted, "You… you are that senior expert?"

My gaze was cold as I flicked my fingers, sending out a fireball that landed on the branch where he had been standing. The branch caught fire with a loud crackle, and he was startled, using his agility to leap back onto the shore. He stared at me, shaken. "You—you’ve broken through to Second Grade?"

I looked at him with indifference. He took a deep breath and said, "As expected from a disciple of a major sect. Others spend their whole lives struggling to even approach the threshold, yet you've advanced to Second Grade so quickly."

He still thought I was a disciple of the Pure Yang Sect.

Then he gave me a deep bow and said, "Zhou Jin greets the Senior."

In the world of cultivators, strength is revered, the wise become teachers, and status is not determined by age but by cultivation level. Since my cultivation is far higher than his, it's only fitting that he calls me "Senior."

At this moment, the most shocked person was Aunt Gui. She stared at me with a strange expression, as if she didn’t know me at all.

Hu Di and Taozi also widened their eyes, unable to comprehend why a renowned Master would actually bow to me.

Has this world gone mad?

I stayed silent, while Master Zhou looked at them and said, "Madam Hu, since you know this Senior here, why did you still come looking for me? With her around, what problem can't be solved?"

I glanced at White Tang Suit, who stood pale-faced to the side, and said, "Is he your disciple? I'm a woman, and yet he aimed to disfigure me with such vicious intent. How cruel!"

Master Zhou's gaze turned cold as he said, "Get out. From today onwards, I don't want to see you again."

White Tang Suit trembled all over. "Master, please, don't kick me out. I've followed you for so many years—maybe I haven't done much, but I've worked hard!"

Master Zhou gave a cold snort and spoke with authority, "Don't make me clean house."

At those words, White Tang Suit knew there was no changing his mind. He clenched his teeth, then looked at me, a trace of malice in his eyes.

I frowned slightly, and Master Zhou noticed. His anger flared as he said, "You have one day to leave Shan City. If I find out you’re still moving around the city, don’t blame me for being merciless."

White Tang Suit turned pale, lowered his head, and agreed quietly before hurriedly running off.

Master Zhou's gaze was icy and distant. He thought, how could I have kept such a clueless fool by my side for so long? A Second-Rank Cultivator isn't someone you provoke so casually.

I mused inwardly that no wonder Master Zhou, despite his limited ability, had managed to survive for so long—he clearly had an eye for reading situations, which set him apart.

Master Zhou respectfully escorted us outside. Aunt Gui stared at me for a long time before finally saying, "Jun Yao, are you really a cultivator?"

I nodded.

"You can catch ghosts? Exorcise demons?"

I nodded again. "But my abilities are limited; I can't handle anything too powerful."

Aunt Gui said, "Then why didn't you tell me before?"

I gave a wry smile. "If I had told you, would you have believed me?"

Aunt Gui was silent—indeed, she wouldn’t have believed me.

Clinging to my arm like it was her lifeline, she said, "Then, can you come to the United States and help me catch a ghost?"

I was intrigued. I had never been to the United States before; it could be like a vacation. And I could live stream while catching the ghost—my first overseas live stream—my viewers would love that.

After thinking it over for a moment, I said, "Aunt Gui, I can help you with the ghost, no problem, but I have one condition."

"What condition?" Aunt Gui asked. "You name it. We don't have much money now, but we can figure something out."

"It's not about money," I said. "I want to live stream while catching the ghost."

"Live stream?" Aunt Gui looked confused.

I explained that I am currently a streamer, specializing in live-streaming ghost encounters. Suddenly, Taozi exclaimed, "Wait, are you that Horror Female Streamer?"

I nodded.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm seeing you in person! You're so popular on social media overseas now. A lot of people even went through the trouble of getting Chinese bank cards just to send you gifts!" Taozi looked me up and down. "Weird, why do you look different from the live stream?"

"That's just an illusion I use to hide my identity," I said calmly. "Aunt Gui, what do you think?"

"Of course, absolutely!" Aunt Gui nodded hurriedly. "As long as you can catch the ghost, I don't care how you stream it."

After agreeing with Aunt Gui, I spent a few days preparing at home. Then Aunt Gui and I boarded a plane to California.

Other than my personal belongings, everything else had to be checked, but it still got opened for inspection. Fortunately, I had few magical artifacts with me; if there were a few made from bones, they’d definitely have freaked out the inspectors.
