Horror Camgirl - Ch. 120: Chinese Witch
“No.” I shook my head and waved my index finger, saying, “You’re wrong, the real tough character hasn’t shown up yet.”
Suddenly, I paused, looking past them and said, “She’s here.”
The two of them were startled, and quickly turned around to look at an old oil painting hanging on the living room wall. The painting depicted a noblewoman in ancient clothing, her face once elegant and refined. But now, her appearance had taken on a disturbing transformation.
Her eyes glowed red, her face turned an eerie shade of blue-purple, her lips went black, and her mouth revealed rows of sharp, white fangs.
Her face suddenly lunged out from the painting, transforming into a gigantic visage that rushed towards the two exorcists.
The exorcists were shocked and dodged to either side. The monstrous face bypassed them and came straight for me.
Les shouted, “Get out of the way!”
Philip grabbed him, saying, “Don't go over there, you can't save her!”
I frowned, stepped back, and formed a ritual seal with my hands in front of my chest, chanting loudly: “Nine Yang Suppresses Yin, light shines upon the Dark Abyss. A thousand gods and saints, protect my true spirit. Five Celestial Demons, perish and vanish. By my command, so it shall be.”
The Nine-Yang Suppressing Ghost Formation activated, and the nine red flags surrounding the house burst into roaring flames, much larger than ever before. They linked together in an instant, gathering on the rooftop, then condensed into a beam that shot downwards.
Boom!
The blast hit the ghost’s face squarely. The ghost let out a miserable scream as it was burned to ashes by the raging flames.
After advancing to Second Grade, the power of the Nine-Yang Suppressing Ghost Formation had also increased significantly.
The noblewoman in the oil painting was now faceless. Where her face should have been, there was now a blood-red smear, with several crimson drops trickling down.
The two exorcists were stunned, staring at me and at the Nine-Yang Suppressing Ghost Formation outside in disbelief.
[Hahaha, this is awesome! I love seeing that look on their faces after they get proven wrong.]
[This feeling of satisfaction that shoots up from the bottom of my feet is incredible. The hype just won’t stop. Streamer, I promised you a Golden Crown, here it comes!]
[You despicable Chinese witch! Why didn't you make a move sooner? Were you just trying to see those two exorcists get hurt, you... ]
That comment went on, filled with curses.
[Is that guy a complete idiot?]
[Haha, I checked his account. He’s from some country in Europe.]
[Ha! Think China has no one capable? Come on, fight me!]
Thus, the comment section erupted into a barrage of arguments.
Les walked over, giving me a once-over before saying, “Are you... the Chinese witch that’s really popular on social media?”
I twitched my mouth slightly, saying, “I’m not a witch, I’m a cultivator.”
Philip said sarcastically, “That’s pretty much the same thing.”
“Not even close,” I replied, slightly irritated. “In your culture, witches are considered evil. We cultivators, however, are dedicated to upholding justice and acting in accordance with heaven’s will. What we do is virtuous work, fundamentally different from witches.”
Philip didn’t say anything more, but his expression clearly conveyed: I don’t understand, and I have no intention of trying.
Les, on the other hand, was happy. He shook my hand and said, “I’ve seen some of your live streams. You’re really impressive.”
I smiled slightly. He then asked, “This... this fire, can you put it out?”
I shook my head, saying, “No.”
“Why not?”
I blinked mysteriously and said, “Because the spirits haven't all been dealt with yet.”
“What?” they both gasped. “There’s more?”
I said, “In the words of us Chinese, this place used to be a site of slaughter. The Yin energy has accumulated for years, making it easy for spirits to form. It’s not suitable as a residence for the living. On top of that, over the years, countless homeowners have died here, causing the Yin energy to grow heavier and create a ghost nest.”
“Ghost nest?” The two exchanged glances.
I said, “A ghost nest is a place where many spirits gather. The ghosts hiding here are not just one or two, but many.”
As soon as I finished speaking, countless ghostly shadows howled as they emerged from the walls, swirling chaotically in the air.
The two exorcists immediately raised their guns, firing at the spirits while retreating.
“Stop wasting your bullets!” I called out, “Go protect Aunt Gui and her family!”
The two exchanged glances. Les said, “Be careful,” before rushing downstairs to bring Aunt Gui’s family out and lead them toward the door.
Boom!
The door slammed shut with a loud bang, and two more ghostly figures lunged toward us. We raised our guns and fired, dispersing the shadows before shooting at the lock. With that, we charged out through the door.
"Jun Yao!" Aunt Gui and Taozi shouted anxiously. "Be careful!"
The words had barely left their mouths when the door slammed shut again, refusing to open.
Ghostly figures from all corners of the room started rushing toward me. As they gathered above my head, I quickly performed a spell, and the Nine-Yang Suppressing Ghost Formation unleashed a burst of fierce flames, engulfing all the spirits.
"Break!" I shouted, and the fire wrapped around the ghostly figures, burning fiercely above me. In the dancing flames, countless ghostly figures writhed and screamed.
Until every last one of them was burned away, the fire eventually dispersed with a crack, leaving only a few sparks scattered on the ground.
The once chaotic house fell silent.
The door opened, and Aunt Gui and the others rushed inside. Taozi ran toward me in excitement, throwing herself into my arms and hugging me tightly. "Jun Yao, I was so worried about you."
"Don't be afraid," I said softly, gently stroking her hair. My expression suddenly darkened as I drew the Peach Wood Dagger hidden in my sleeve and plunged it into her chest.
"Ah!" Taozi stared at me in shock, stumbling back a few steps as she looked down at the dagger in her chest. "You..."
"Taozi!" Aunt Gui and the others were horrified. I rushed forward, blocking their way.
"Are you insane? That's Taozi! Why did you kill her?" Aunt Gui grabbed my collar, crying, while Hu Dahua's eyes turned red. "You killed my daughter, I'll kill you!"
"Everyone, calm down!" I shouted. "Look closely—who is that really?!"
Suddenly, Taozi's face twisted into that of the terrifying noblewoman from before. She transformed into a ghostly figure wearing old-fashioned European attire, letting out a piercing scream.
The shriek reverberated through the entire house, causing it to tremble.
A wave of energy swept toward us. I immediately stepped forward, shielding the others behind me, and released my Spiritual Energy to counteract the blast.
The room filled with a fierce gust of wind, furniture flying everywhere. The wooden staircase broke apart, its jagged pieces pointing directly at us.
I pulled out a freshly refined Qi Supplement Pill, swallowed it in one gulp, and began channeling the "Grand Profound Heaven Art." The Spiritual Energy in the surrounding air was drawn toward me, gathering in my hands.
"Ha!" I let out a low cry, and as countless sharp wooden stakes rushed toward us, I thrust both palms forward. Spiritual Energy burst out, forming a shield that blocked the stakes right in front of us.
The ghost's eyes were filled with rage as she glared at me viciously. I felt the stakes pressing down with even more force. Gritting my teeth, I pushed all of my Spiritual Energy out again.
Crack, crack, crack.
The stakes splintered one by one, disintegrating into countless wood chips that scattered through the air.
I pulled out the Peachwood Sword strapped to my back, leaping into the air and striking forward.
A lone sword strike that chilled the stars.
The ghost tried to flee, but the dagger embedded in her chest slowed her down. In an instant, my sword was upon her.
Thud.
The sound of flesh tearing echoed as the Peachwood Sword pierced through her body. With a powerful pull, I split her into two halves.
"Ah!" The ghost's body collapsed to the ground, emitting a series of agonized screams before gradually turning into black ashes, as if consumed by flames.
[That was amazing! The streamer looked so cool just now! I want to have kids with the streamer!]
[Did you see that, Americans? This is how powerful cultivators from China are! Did it blind you?]
[The streamer was incredible this time! Crowns for the streamer!]
[The Elixir Pill the streamer used this time seems better than the previous Essence Nourishing Pill. I wonder when it will be available. I want to buy ten of them!] Naturally, it was "Dongfeng Po" saying that.
I looked up at the oil painting, noticing that the canvas had disappeared. Hidden inside was a notebook.
I took out the notebook and found that it was a diary written by a woman named Elizabeth.
Her husband was the original owner of this house.
