Horror Camgirl - Ch. 122: Stranded on a Deserted Island with Yin Shengyao
He made such a good point that I was left speechless.
[Wait, isn’t that the guy from the Evil Hotel?]
[I think his last name is Yin, right? A really handsome guy.]
[Didn’t expect him to come back. Is he going to be a regular now?]
I turned off the Live Stream Room and tried to leave, but my legs gave out and I nearly fell.
He reached out to steady me, but I shook him off. I held onto the wall, slowly walking out. Aunt Gui and her family were lying on the ground. I checked their pulses, and thankfully, they were still alive, just unconscious.
Yin Shengyao followed silently behind me, watching me.
“Why are you in America?” I asked. “You can’t seriously be stalking me, can you?”
“If I said I came to America to find a Spiritual Plant, would you believe me?” Yin Shengyao replied.
I looked at him coldly, and he continued, “Black Bewildering Grass. Someone spotted it nearby, and I need it to help me advance.”
Black Bewildering Grass, a type of mystical herb that grows in extremely yin-rich places.
So he wasn’t actually stalking me.
What a cursed fate.
“Do you hate me that much?” he asked softly.
I stayed silent.
He sighed quietly behind me and said, “No matter what, this house is uninhabitable now. I’ll take you all to a hotel.”
This time, I didn’t refuse.
Aunt Gui and the others woke up quickly, but I ended up in the hospital for half a month because I had drained my Life Essence.
During those two weeks, Aunt Gui and Taozi brought me homemade chicken soup every day, fattening me up a bit.
Since I entered the hospital, I hadn’t seen Yin Shengyao again.
Half a month later, I boarded a plane back to China. Just as I sat down, I spotted Yin Shengyao again. His entire demeanor had changed, his eyes now filled with a radiant energy.
“You broke through to Transformation Strength?” I asked in surprise.
“I found the Black Bewildering Grass,” he said. “It was in the swamp behind that house.”
Fate is truly blind. I muttered to myself in my heart.
His seat was right next to mine. How could this be a coincidence?
After takeoff, I pretended to sleep. He leaned close and whispered, “What happened last time was my fault.”
I ignored him. After a moment, he added, “I can make it up to you.”
“You can’t make it up to me,” I said coldly.
He froze, sighing without a word.
The atmosphere grew awkward. We were on a red-eye flight, and as the night deepened, the plane flew over the Pacific Ocean. Suddenly, there was a jolt, and an announcement mentioned turbulence, but I had a bad feeling.
No way, I thought. Planes are the safest form of transportation. There’s no way it could just crash.
Soon enough, the turbulence passed, and I let out a sigh of relief. Then, out of nowhere, there was a loud bang. Something hit the wing, and the plane tilted sharply. Screams filled the cabin.
What was that just now? Why did I feel an immense Spiritual Power?
“Watch out!” Yin Shengyao grabbed my hand. I tried to pull away, but he held on tight, and I couldn’t budge.
Whoosh!
A section of the cabin broke away, and several passengers were sucked out. The plane was literally coming apart in midair!
Yin Shengyao pulled me into his arms and said, “The plane can’t be saved. Remember, hold on to me.”
Before he could finish his sentence, the entire plane split in half, and suddenly we were in freefall, surrounded by vast clouds.
Yin Shengyao and I plummeted together at a terrifying speed.
I gritted my teeth, forming a hand seal in front of my chest, using wind-controlling magic to keep pushing us upward.
I don’t know how long it took—maybe just a few minutes, maybe much longer—but we eventually hit the ocean hard. The salty, bitter seawater flooded my mouth, almost suffocating me.
Yin Shengyao held onto me and dragged me to the surface. “Are you okay?” he asked.
I coughed up some water. “I’m fine.”
He looked around and said, “There’s an island over there.” He swam, pulling me along until we reached the shore. I lay down on the beach, completely drained.
I had already depleted my Life Essence and hadn’t fully recovered. Now, using a massive amount of Spiritual Power again left me totally exhausted, unable even to move.
Cold. Bone-chilling cold.
I raised my head and saw a towering snowy mountain.
How could this be? A small island in the Pacific should be a tropical rainforest climate. Why was there such a huge Snow Island here?
Yin Shengyao picked me up. “We can’t stay here, or we’ll freeze.”
He found a small cave along the coast, carried me inside, then pushed a large rock to block the entrance. He gathered dry twigs and leaves to start a fire, and I finally began to feel a little warmth.
“Stay here. I’m going to see if I can find anything useful in the ocean.” After he left, I checked what I had on me. Thankfully, I still had my Peachwood Sword and Peachwood Dagger, and there were plenty of Elixir Pills in my bag. I could survive this.
Every time I met Yin Shengyao, nothing good ever came of it.
A few hours later, Yin Shengyao returned, carrying a large suitcase. It must have belonged to a passenger—its owner now just a memory lost to the ocean.
Yin Shengyao handed me a blanket, and I wrapped myself up tightly. He hesitated for a moment, then said, “You need to take off your wet clothes to dry them, or you’ll catch pneumonia.”
With that, he removed his wet jacket, revealing his muscular, tanned skin.
I turned my face away. “I’m fine.”
After advancing to Second Grade, my body had undergone transformation, making me much less susceptible to illness.
Inside the cave, the fire crackled, and neither of us spoke. The atmosphere grew awkward and tense.
I was too tired. I lay by the fire and quickly fell into a deep sleep.
I don’t know how long I slept, but when I woke up, Yin Shengyao was gone. I took out a bottle of Qi Supplement Pills, swallowed a few, and ran the Grand Profound Heaven Art through a few cycles, feeling my body ease up a bit.
Soon after, Yin Shengyao returned, carrying two rabbits. I stared at the rabbits in surprise. They were as big as wolves—how could rabbits be that large?
Yin Shengyao threw them on the ground, and I frowned. The rabbits’ teeth were incredibly sharp, and their claws had grown into deep hooks.
“What breed is this?” I asked in astonishment.
"That's an Exotic Beast," Yin Shengyao said. "There are many strange creatures in this world, and we refer to them all as Exotic Beasts. Most of these Exotic Beasts are mutations. Originally, this rabbit lived in a subtropical climate, and all the plants on this island were also subtropical. But overnight, it turned into Snow Island, and even the animals and plants on the island mutated."
I was curious. "Why did that happen?"
"Maybe it’s because some evil force was born, or maybe a rare treasure emerged."
My heart skipped a beat—rare treasure?
"But I’d advise you not to act rashly." He seemed to read my thoughts. "Any evil force or treasure capable of shifting the landscape like this must be extremely powerful. We're too weak; we wouldn't be seeking treasure, we'd be seeking death."
He made a lot of sense, and once again, I found myself speechless.
There was no signal on the island, so I had to open the Live Stream Room and say, "Hey everyone, as you can see, I'm your unlucky host. I was on my way back to the country from Los Angeles when the plane crashed. Luckily, I'm still alive, but I've drifted onto this godforsaken place called Snow Island. The island isn't far from where the plane went down, so please, if you can, report this to the authorities for us. Thanks a lot."
The Live Stream Room was instantly flooded with comments.
[What? The streamer was actually on that plane?!]
[I had a feeling when I saw the news yesterday, but I never imagined the streamer was really on that flight.]
[I heard the plane broke up in midair. The fact that you survived… you’re not human.]
[You guys don't get it. The streamer is a Second-Rank Cultivator and knows some minor magic techniques. Escaping was no big deal.]
I closed the Live Stream Room. Yin Shengyao handed me a roasted rabbit leg, its golden-brown skin crispy and fragrant, with a faint trace of Spiritual Energy.
Exotic Beasts are created by drastic changes in the world's Spiritual Energy, so their bodies contain it too. As long as they aren't poisonous, eating them can only benefit you.
We finished the rabbit, and I was just about to stretch my legs. As I stood up, I suddenly felt a warm flow from below.
My face instantly changed.
No way. Am I really having this kind of bad luck now?
My period was here!
Yin Shengyao twitched his nose and looked up at me. "Are you injured?"
My face turned as red as a monkey’s backside, and I shook my head. "No, I’m not hurt."
"There's such a strong smell of blood, and you say you’re not hurt?" He walked over without hesitation. "Let me check the wound!"
I panicked and pushed him away forcefully. "I get injured once a month, okay? What are you looking at? Are you trying to be a pervert?"
He paused for a moment, and then he understood. A blush spread across his bronze face.
"Ahem… um, there’s… something in the box." He fumbled around in a large box and handed me a pack of sanitary pads before quickly stepping out. I hurriedly changed, my face burning with embarrassment.
Not long after, he returned with a large bird. He also found a pilot’s helmet near the shore to use as a makeshift pot and cooked up a big batch of bird soup. "You're a bit weak these days. Drink some soup to get your strength back."
I sipped the soup, feeling incredibly awkward.
Suddenly, Yin Shengyao frowned. "You smell really nice."
"Nice?" I sniffed myself. "I don't smell anything nice. I haven’t bathed in days. It’s just sweat."
"No, that’s not it." He moved closer, inhaling deeply. A hint of a dazed look crossed his eyes. "It smells really… nice, like that night…"
I shivered violently. He jerked back, suddenly realizing what he had just said, and his face darkened.
I clenched my fists as a whirlwind of emotions surged within me—anger, pain, sadness.
So, he recognized me from the very beginning.
If that was the case, why did he deliberately approach me? Was he playing me for a fool? Toying with me like a cat with a mouse before finally killing me?
I waited until he was packing away the soup pot, then suddenly jumped up, pushed aside the large boulder, and bolted out the door.
"Yuan Junyao!" he called out in alarm. "It's dangerous out there!"
It’s being with you that’s dangerous!
