Horror Camgirl - Ch. 57: Transformation Strength Masters

“There are actually many ways to antidote Ghost Snake Poison,” Tang Mingli said. “It’s just that the effects of the poison strike too quickly, leaving no time to find the antidote.”

Xiao Lin nodded and then looked at me with intense eyes, saying, “Madam Yuan, would you be willing to sell us the antidote formula? You can name your price.”

A cold light flashed in my eyes as I replied, “If you can help me capture those two Ghost Witch Sect members for me to deal with, I will give you the formula.”

Xiao Lin's eyes brightened immediately. “No problem, Madam Yuan. You can rest assured. Those two guys are yours.”

He quickly called the Special Department, and Captain Jin sent two level-one Ability Users to protect my brother.

We retrieved the hospital’s surveillance footage and discovered that at noon, a short man carrying a bouquet entered the ward, while the front desk had never seen this person before.

This time, they failed to poison An Yi, realizing they had alarmed the snake and likely wouldn’t attempt to harm me again for the time being. After pondering for a moment, I said, “I know where they will go next.”

At this moment, at the Nanjian Hotel on Xiaonan Mountain, a Land Rover Discovery parked at the hotel entrance. Xu Jun approached, opened the car door, and a man dressed in a silk Tang suit, holding two iron walnuts, and slightly plump with a white beard on his chin, appeared—a true master in demeanor.

“Third Uncle,” Xu Jun said respectfully.

This man was Xu Zhi Jie, a master of Transformation Strength from the Xu family.

“Where is Old Master Wei?” Xu Zhi Jie asked.

“Waiting inside,” Xu Junyao replied, ushering him in. Old Master Wei was seated on the sofa, and Xu Zhi Jie cupped his hands in a martial arts salute, saying, “Old Master Wei.”

“Zhi Jie, we’re all family here; no need to be so polite,” Old Master Wei smiled. “Come, have a seat.”

Wei Sushu brought in fragrant tea, and the two exchanged pleasantries. Old Master Wei then said, “Zhi Jie, I’ve heard news that members of the Ghost Witch Sect have arrived in Shan City. I’ll be troubling you this time.”

Xu Zhi Jie waved his hand. “Old Master, you’re being too courteous. Ever since you fell under the ghost spell, our Xu family has been seeking doctors far and wide, but unfortunately, they all say this ghost spell is a secret technique of the Ghost Witch Sect. It’s very difficult to resolve. I didn’t expect someone could solve it. I wonder who this master might be?”

Just as Old Master Wei was about to respond, someone knocked on the door. Wei Tingting stepped forward to open it, and upon seeing me, her expression immediately turned cold. “What do you want this time?”

Wei Sushu quickly said, “Tingting, how can you be so rude?” She smiled and said, “Madam Yuan, Old Master was just mentioning you.”

Old Master Wei said, “Madam Yuan has arrived? Please, come in.”

Ye Xianluo remained outside, while the three of us—me, Xiao Lin, and Tang Mingli—entered the room, our gaze landing on the plump middle-aged man.

The blood energy emanating from this man was quite robust; he was undoubtedly a master.

Xu Zhi Jie was also observing us, slightly narrowing his eyes, seeming to ponder something.

Old Master Wei said, “Zhi Jie, this is the esteemed person who can lift the ghost spell.”

“Esteemed person?” Xu Zhi Jie smiled faintly, his smile carrying a hint of disdain. In his eyes, I was an ordinary person, though the two beside me were not simple.

Xiao Lin stepped forward and said, “Old Master Wei, I am from the Special Department's Shan City branch. Here’s my identification.”

He handed over his credentials, which surprisingly included a military rank—he was a lieutenant.

Xu Zhi Jie said, while fiddling with the iron walnuts, “I’ve met your department head before. How is he doing now?”

Xiao Lin replied quietly, “He is in good health.”

Old Master Wei asked, “Lieutenant Lin, may I ask why you’ve come?”

“Old Master, please just call me Xiao Lin,” he said. “We are here regarding the Ghost Witch Sect.”

He briefly recounted the situation and added, “Old Master Wei, we are here to protect you.”

Old Master Wei chuckled, “You’re all very considerate, but I have already arranged for experts from the Xu family to protect me.”

Xiao Lin half-jokingly said, “It’s our duty, so please don’t send us away, Old Master.”

Xu Zhi Jie coldly snorted, “You all should leave. I’m afraid I won’t be able to take care of so many people.”

Xiao Lin raised an eyebrow. Was he openly saying we were a burden? That was quite disrespectful!

But considering the other party was a master of Transformation Strength, he had to swallow his pride.

“Hmph, Uncle Xu is right,” Wei Tingting added. “You should leave early to avoid any unforeseen mishaps that could implicate us.”

She affectionately ran over and stood beside Xu Zhi Jie, saying, “Isn’t that right, Uncle Xu?”

Xu Zhi Jie smiled and didn’t respond, tacitly agreeing.

Old Master Wei shot her a glare, “What nonsense are you spouting? Go wait on the side!”

He then smiled at us, “I appreciate your goodwill, but please leave. With Zhi Jie here, I won’t encounter any trouble.”

In his eyes, the strength of a Transformation Strength master was formidable, and even if the members of the Ghost Witch Sect were powerful, they couldn’t possibly reach Transformation Strength.

Whether we stayed or left didn’t matter to him, but if we offended Xu Zhi Jie, it would be a loss.

Xiao Lin was about to say something when I suddenly pressed my hand on his shoulder and said, “Old Master. If you want us to go, we will, but are you afraid that if we leave, you might be in danger?”

Xu Zhi Jie narrowed his eyes, his tone unfriendly. “What do you mean by that?”

Xu Tingting glared, saying, “What? You look down on Uncle Xu? He is a dignified master of Transformation Strength! What are you?”

I replied, “Although Mr. Xu has reached Transformation Strength, the opponent is a sorcerer who understands witchcraft and possesses strange methods. One slip-up could be disastrous.”

Xu Zhi Jie coldly scoffed, “It doesn’t matter if he is a sorcerer, a gu master, or a ghost-catching celestial master. As long as they haven’t reached the third-grade level, I can kill one, I can kill two. But you, young lady, are clearly just an ordinary person yet are spouting such grandiose claims. Have you ever heard that a Martial Artist cannot be insulted?”

As he finished speaking, I felt an overwhelming force bearing down on me, making it feel as if a giant stone was pressing on my chest, leaving me breathless.

Tang Mingli stepped forward to support my waist, absorbing most of the pressure.

Tang Shao said coldly, “Mr. Xu is a master of Transformation Strength; how can you use Martial Artist’s pressure on a young lady? Won’t that make people laugh?”

The Martial Artist, upon breaking through to Transformation Strength, can release an aura known as Martial Artist’s pressure through their internal energy.

Xu Zhi Jie glanced at him, saying, “She disrespected me. I’m only using my pressure without resorting to violence; that’s already showing Old Master Wei respect.”

I used my Spiritual Power to counter the pressure, surprisingly relieving the force that had been applied to me. I stepped forward, facing Xu Zhi Jie directly.

Xu Zhi Jie showed some surprise. An ordinary person could actually withstand Martial Artist’s pressure?

I looked into his eyes and said, “Mr. Xu, do you really think you can protect Old Master Wei by yourself?”

A trace of anger flickered in Xu Zhi Jie’s eyes. “As long as I’m here, the Ghost Witch Sect members won’t set foot in this room.”

I sighed softly, “But they’re already here.”

“What?” Everyone was startled, staring at me. Old Master Wei asked, “Madam Yuan, where are the Ghost Witch Sect members?”

Xu Zhi Jie’s gaze turned hostile. “Don’t spout nonsense.”

Wei Tingting chimed in, “Even Uncle Xu didn’t notice them; how could you? I think you’re just trying to grab attention!”

I scanned the faces in the room, then raised my hand, pointing at one person. “You are from the Ghost Witch Sect.”

Everyone followed my finger to see it was Wei Tingting.

She was stunned for a moment, then sneered, “What a joke! How could I be from the Ghost Witch Sect? Why don’t you say Uncle Xu is from the Ghost Witch Sect?”

Old Master Wei furrowed his brow, thinking that Madam Yuan was indeed too young and unreliable.

Wei Tingting rushed to Old Master Wei's side, grabbing his hand. “Grandpa, she’s bullying me! Hurry and get them out!”

Old Master Wei’s tone turned cold, “Please leave, everyone.”

I grabbed a handful of Special Cinnabar and swiftly sprinkled it over her. Xu Zhi Jie shouted, “You dare to make a move?” Suddenly lunging at me, Tang Mingli dashed forward and blocked the strike, the power of the Transformation Strength Martial Artist causing his arm to go numb and his face to pale.

“Ah!” Wei Tingting let out a tragic scream, but oddly, it was a male voice.

Xu Zhi Jie was startled and instinctively struck down at Wei Tingting’s crown.
