Horror Camgirl - Ch. 58: Battle Against the Second-Rank Evil Cultivator

Wei Tingting's skin was burned in multiple places, emitting wisps of smoke. Despite the intense pain, she gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with ferocity, and suddenly produced a needle, aiming it at Old Master Wei's thigh.

Xu Zhijie moved incredibly fast; I barely caught a glimpse when Xu Zhijie’s palm struck her head solidly.

Wei Tingting's hand, still holding the poisoned needle, hung in mid-air as blood gushed from her features, and then she fell straight down.

“Tingting!” Wei Sushu screamed in shock. I said, “That’s not Wei Tingting.”

Tang Mingli approached, feeling behind the ear of the female corpse and tore off a human skin mask.

I was dumbfounded, thinking that face-changing was just a trope in martial arts dramas; I never expected to witness it today.

Under the mask was an ordinary-looking face that resembled someone from Southeast Asia.

Wei Sushu exclaimed in agitation, “Where’s my Tingting? Where have they taken her?”

“Sushu, calm down,” Old Master Wei reprimanded. Then he turned to me and asked, “Madam Yuan, how do you know that Tingting is fake?”

I replied, “This woman is a witch from the Ghost Witch Sect. They practice the dark arts and raise spirits, filled with Yin Qi. I’m inherently sensitive to Yin Qi, and even though she disguised herself well, I sensed it when she entered the room.”

Face-changing can alter appearances, but the sinister constitution accumulated over years of practice cannot be changed.

Xu Zhijie felt a bit embarrassed; he had been wise throughout his life but today was deceived by a minor witch from the Ghost Witch Sect.

“Ghost Witch Sect. They are going too far!” Xu Zhijie shouted angrily.

Xu Jun said, “Right now, finding Tingting is our priority.” He looked at me, “Madam Yuan, do you have any way to locate her?”

“There are two members of the Ghost Witch Sect in Shan City this time,” I said. “Wei Tingting is in their hands.”

Before I finished speaking, Ye Xianluo entered with a trembling female attendant, holding an envelope in her hands, stammering, “This… this is from a man who asked me to deliver it to Madam Yuan.”

I frowned as I took the letter, which stated that I should go alone to the Huangjue Tree at the top of Little South Mountain tonight at midnight. If anyone else followed, Wei Tingting would undoubtedly die.

Tang Mingli said, “Jun Yao, you can’t go; this is clearly a trap.”

But Old Master Wei, with a worried expression, said, “Madam Yuan, I am counting on my granddaughter to marry into the Wei Family; please help me this once. I will be immensely grateful afterward.”

Wei Sushu also pleaded, while Xu Zhijie said solemnly, “I will be waiting halfway up the mountain. If you are in danger, I will come to your rescue.”

Tang Mingli frowned; as a master of Transformation Strength, even reaching the mountaintop from halfway would take five to six minutes, by which time she could already be dead.

Xu Zhijie was petty, trying to take the opportunity for revenge.

His eyes narrowed slightly, an angry light flashing beneath them.

Whenever he showed this kind of expression, someone was bound to have bad luck.

After a moment’s contemplation, I said, “Fine, I will go.”

Tang Mingli exclaimed, “Jun Yao!”

I raised my hand to stop him, saying, “If he dares to lay a hand on my brother, I will never let him off. Since he wants to challenge me one-on-one, I will oblige!”

The moon hung high in the sky, particularly round and bright tonight.

I walked alone along the mountain path, my palms clammy with cold sweat.

Tang Mingli and the others were halfway up the mountain; the forest was silent. It felt as if I were the only person left in the world.

Suddenly, my phone rang.

I jumped in surprise; upon checking, it was True Lord Zhengyang.

“Girl, it seems you’ve run into trouble?” he chuckled.

I briefly explained the situation, and he clapped his hands, saying, “Good, good, you have that kind of courage; it suits my taste. Open a Live Stream; I will guide you.”

I was about to initiate a video call when True Lord Zhengyang said, “Not video; I mean open a Live Stream Room.”

I hesitated, “True Lord, that’s not possible. If I open the Live Stream Room, everyone will see it, including the Ghost Witch Sect members.”

“Girl, hasn’t your Live Stream Room been upgraded? Haven’t you seen the new features?”

“What new features?” I opened the Live Stream Room and looked closely; there were three buttons at the bottom of the screen labeled Heaven, Human, and Ghost.

The Heaven and Human buttons were lit up, while the Ghost button was still greyed out.

“Press the Heaven button,” True Lord Zhengyang instructed. I was puzzled but pressed it anyway.

The screen instantly lit up as the Live Stream began, but only three viewers were online: True Lord Zhengyang, Cloud Fairy, and Huang Shan Jun.

“Girl, the item you gave me last time was really useful; I’ve successfully broken through the barrier and made further progress in my cultivation.”

Huang Shan Jun began to flood the chat with messages.

“Girl, what exactly did you give him? Show me next time.” This was Cloud Fairy.

I was exasperated; if I showed you, you’d probably pick my bones clean.

At that moment, I noticed the viewer count changed to “4.”

Huh? Someone else joined? Who is it? Cloud Fairy asked.

“Haha, our days are so dull; it’s great to have a good show to watch. Of course, we’d all want to join,” said Huang Shan Jun, with a teasing tone.

It turned out to be Jiu Lingzi; “Girl, quickly add him as a friend and create a fan group.” True Lord Zhengyang said.

This must be another expert; I immediately sent a friend request, which was accepted.

Black Rock TV has a feature where hosts can create a fan group for their dedicated viewers, similar to WeChat groups.

I added all four of them to the fan group and activated group chat.

“True Lord Zhengyang, what’s this Live Stream Room about?” Jiu Lingzi’s voice sounded pleasant, like a young person.

“This Live Stream Room is specifically for streaming ghost-catching,” True Lord Zhengyang replied. “Jiu Lingzi, you’ve been so focused on your cultivation that you need some entertainment; otherwise, you’ll start to go stale.”

“Do you think I’m like you, just messing around and neglecting my training?” Though Jiu Lingzi said this, he didn’t leave the group.

I briefly recounted my experiences to the four of them, and Huang Shan Jun laughed, “Girl, you’re going to meet him armed only with a sword; I like your guts.”

I tucked my phone into my pocket and put in my Bluetooth earpiece. Before I knew it, I had reached the mountaintop.

At the top of Little South Mountain stood a ginkgo tree, said to be over a thousand years old, now shedding its yellow leaves, which blanketed the ground.

Standing under the tree, I surveyed my surroundings and shouted, “I’ve arrived! If you have the guts, bring Wei Tingting out quickly; don’t be like a turtle hiding in its shell.”

Before I could finish, I heard Huang Shan Jun say, “He’s just a second-rank cultivator hiding in the tree. The Young Lady you’re looking for is also in the tree, but she’s lying on a higher branch and is unharmed.”

Cloud Fairy said, “You’re rambling. You’ve revealed everything; what fun is that?”

Huang Shan Jun replied, “Our little girl is only first-rank; the other is second-rank. If I don’t provide some guidance, if something happens to her, who will help me find things when I need to break through my cultivation bottleneck? Be careful!”

He suddenly shouted, and I quickly drew my Peachwood Sword, turning and stabbing at a Resentful Ghost trying to ambush me, causing it to disperse.

“Ha ha ha.” A shrill, unpleasant laugh rang out as a small figure dropped from above. He looked somewhat lecherous, with a sharp face and thin lips, but his eyes were filled with malevolence, constantly roaming over my chest.

I wore a hat and mask, so he couldn’t see my true face; otherwise, he might have pounced on me already.

“What do you want?” I asked coldly.

He sneered, “You actually have the guts to smash our Ghost Witch Sect’s sacred artifact, the Jade Evil God Statue, in the Live Stream Room. You’ve got some nerve! If we don’t kill you, people will think our Ghost Witch Sect is easy to bully.”

Jiu Lingzi impatiently said, “What Ghost Witch Sect? Just a bunch of charlatans; why are there so many oddballs in the mortal realm? It’s annoying.”

Huang Shan Jun dissatisfiedly said, “Look at this; no one is begging you to watch.”

Jiu Lingzi fell silent but didn’t leave.

I coldly said, “So you’re attacking my brother?”

He chuckled softly, “For someone who has committed such heinous crimes, we usually eradicate their entire clan. But you’ve surprised me a bit; you managed to dispel my ghost Snake Poison.”

I said, “I’m not here to waste words with you; where is she? Hand her over immediately.”

The lecherous man grinned sinisterly, “You’re only a mere first-rank; how do you expect to save that Young Lady? How foolish. Since you’ve delivered yourself to me, I’ll have fun with you first, then slowly torture you to death.”

Huang Shan Jun reminded again, “Girl, be careful.”

I looked down to see something crawling on the ground; my heart tightened, and my scalp tingled.

Snakes—countless snakes—were slithering through the grass, encircling me.

Suddenly, the myriad of snakes all flew up, as if woven into a gigantic net, descending upon me.

Huang Shan Jun said, “These snakes are nurtured with corpse water; even if they don’t bite you, merely touching them will inject you with corpse poison, leading to a tragic death.”

I felt a headache coming on; “Brother, can you at least tell me how to deal with this?”

In this critical moment, Jiu Lingzi spoke up, “These snakes are extremely Yin; use Yang blood from a black dog to repel them!”

I came to my senses and immediately pulled out a vial of black dog blood, hurling it into the swarm of snakes. The venomous snakes corroded and burned by the Yang blood disintegrated as if doused in sulfuric acid, creating a hole.

I quickly dove through the opening and sprang into the air, raising my Peachwood Sword to stab at the lecherous man's face.

Huang Shan Jun said, “Girl, he’s a living person; your Peachwood Sword can’t kill him.”

Cloud Fairy couldn’t take it anymore and said, “Can you guys please pay attention to the Live Stream?”

The lecherous man sneered, “How foolish, thinking you can kill me with a wooden sword.”
