Horror Camgirl - Ch. 70: The Brother's Soul

"You dare!" he shouted, his face pale with fury. "I am from the Jinling Lu Family, and I will not let you off!"

I halted for a moment and turned back to glare at him coldly. "You are forcing me to kill you."

He clenched his fists, trying to stand up, but found his legs powerless. What once had been a proud posture had now shrunk to that of a frightened mouse.

I patted his face and said, "Given what you have done today, my sect will definitely not let you off. It’s already merciful of me to render you incapable of sexual activity."

No matter what, I had to fabricate a sect to scare him; I couldn’t just let him bully me.

He looked at me with hatred and resentment, and I gave him a chilling glare before turning and leaving the room.

I had more important matters to attend to.

That herb emitting a strange fragrance—the purple medicinal herb!

Lao Feng carried that scent. I followed the trail and found he was staying in another luxurious suite upstairs.

I knocked on the door, and as he opened it, I struck quickly, hitting his throat with the edge of my hand. He didn’t even have time to make a sound or see my face clearly before he fell back, unconscious.

I walked in directly, opened the box, and carefully examined the herb, feeling overjoyed—this was indeed Bi Luo Grass.

This is a type of Spiritual Plant, only found in places with abundant Spiritual Energy, capable of healing spiritual injuries. Judging by its quality, it was at least a hundred years old and extremely precious.

I closed the box lid and said to the unconscious Lao Feng, "You dared to plot against me; consider this your compensation."

He certainly wouldn’t dare to call the police. Inside this box were splatters of blood, clearly indicating that the origins of this Spiritual Plant were dubious.

I quickly left the hotel and returned home. Suddenly, my phone rang—it was Xiao Lin calling.

"Madam Yuan, you really know how to stir up trouble," Xiao Lin said helplessly. "I heard you hurt the young master of the Jinling Lu Family?"

I replied coldly, "I saved him, but he wanted to drug me."

There was a moment of silence on the other end. "I understand. Don't worry; our Special Department will handle this matter for you. No case will be filed."

"Thank you," I said sincerely, as the Special Department had indeed helped me a lot.

"But you need to be careful," he said seriously. "Although Shan City is not the Lu Family’s territory, they definitely won’t let you off easily."

"Don’t worry; I know what I’m doing."

After hanging up, I frowned. For me now, the Lu Family felt like a massive entity; they had numerous ways to kill me.

But I had no regrets. If I encountered such things and kept swallowing my anger, how would I be able to continue on the path of cultivation? How could I conquer my own demons?

I carefully stored the Bi Luo Grass in a jade box and continued taking the elixirs for my cultivation.

At that moment, a private jet slowly descended at Shan City International Airport. A middle-aged noblewoman, dressed in a knee-length skirt, quickly stepped out. Assistant Yu rushed forward to greet her respectfully, saying, "Madam."

The middle-aged noblewoman looked displeased. "Where is the young master?"

"In the villa," Assistant Yu replied, lowering his head.

The middle-aged noblewoman got into a luxury car. They drove swiftly to a villa on Nanshan, where Lu Qilin sat on the sofa, looking haggard and dispirited, as if he had aged ten years overnight.

The middle-aged noblewoman was fuming. "Look at you! Even though you're not the direct descendant of the Lu Family, in the collateral line, we are still a significant branch. You are supposed to inherit my business in the future; how can I trust you to run the company in this state?"

"Mom, I'm afraid I won’t live to see that day," Lu Qilin said, cradling his head in despair.

Madam Lu crossed her arms and coldly said, "What exactly happened? Tell me clearly."

Lu Qilin decided to stop hiding the truth and recounted the entire incident in detail, including how he had been harmed a year ago.

He had reflected carefully over the past few days. Before he was injured, he had broken up with an Art School student, who persistently clung to him, which annoyed him greatly. So, he called someone to frame her, resulting in her expulsion from the school.

The Martial Artist who attacked him must have been avenging that girl.

Madam Lu trembled with anger, pointing at him and scolding, "You—no matter how good you are at everything else, you can’t handle women! You’ll eventually die at their hands!"

"Mom, I know I was wrong," he said, clutching his hair. "But I don’t want to die; I still need to carry on the Lu Family line."

Madam Lu looked at her unworthy son and sighed helplessly; after all, he was her son.

"Have you reported it to the police?" Madam Lu asked, and Assistant Yu replied, "Yes, but the police refused to file a case, saying the young master was not injured."

Madam Lu’s face turned livid with anger; she couldn’t let Lu Qilin’s shortcomings become public knowledge, nor could she allow the people of Jinling to know that Lu Qilin’s father had a whole bunch of illegitimate children outside.

"Only she can cure your condition," Madam Lu said after a moment of silence. "In that case, we must find a way to blackmail her, force her to submit to us, and cure you."

Assistant Yu immediately said, "Madam, I’ve investigated this Yuan Junyao; she’s just an ordinary woman with a high school education. She lost her job a few months ago, and her brother was in a car accident, ending up in a vegetative state. At that time, she was still a terribly ugly girl."

As she spoke, she handed a photo to Madam Lu and her son, who stared in disbelief.

Assistant Yu continued, "I don’t know why, but in just two to three months, all her facial tumors disappeared, and she learned medicine. The house she currently lives in used to belong to a local wealthy family; I don’t know why it ended up in her hands."

Madam Lu slowly walked to the window, gazing at the mountain view outside. "This is strange; could it be that she had some fortuitous encounter?"

Lu Qilin recalled the "sect" mentioned earlier, but at that moment, he was only focused on healing and did not bring it up. Instead, he said, "Mom, since that's the case, why not target her brother?"

Assistant Yu added, "According to the information we've gathered, Yuan Junyao cares very much for her brother. If we can take him hostage, she will definitely obey us."

Madam Lu glanced at her son. It had only been a day, yet his eyes looked hollow and painful to see.

She was usually a shrewd person; under other circumstances, she wouldn't act so recklessly. However, with her only son in trouble, she was flustered and couldn't care less about the consequences.

"Xiao Yu, bring some people from Jinling over," Madam Lu ordered. "I want to see that one in a vegetative state tonight."

Assistant Yu nodded and replied, "Understood."

Meanwhile, Lu Qilin felt a hint of unease in his heart. He thought to himself, Yuan Junyao's abilities came out of nowhere—could it be that she had some formidable sect backing her?

But then he reconsidered; in his current state, neither human nor ghost, it might be worth taking a gamble. Perhaps she really could treat him.

I absorbed a strand of Hongmeng Purple Qi in the morning. After tidying up my things, I went to the hospital. Since the incident with the Ghost Witch Sect, the hospital had strengthened its security, and I often saw robust security guards patrolling with batons.

These guards were all hired at high prices, all former Special Forces soldiers.

Dr. Qin Ai was doing her rounds. When he saw me, he smiled and said, "Madam Yuan, here to see your brother? Mr. Shen's health has been excellent lately; he’s even healthier than an average person."

I had been stewing medicinal cuisine for him daily, nourishing his body well. But why hadn’t he woken up yet?

After chatting casually with Dr. Qin Ai, I sat at the edge of the bed and checked my brother's pulse. His pulse was steady and strong; there were no apparent issues with his body.

Could it be that his spirit was somehow damaged?

I placed both hands on his forehead and sent a strand of Spiritual Energy into him, only to be shocked and unable to believe what I saw as I gazed at my brother's serene face.

He wasn’t suffering from spiritual damage; rather, he didn’t have a soul at all!

An Yi’s soul was completely absent from his body?

Could it be that the car accident had caused his soul to leave, wandering in some unknown place?

The spellbook given to me by True Lord Zhengyang included the Soul Summoning Technique. I quickly closed the door, opened the window, and used Cinnabar to draw talismans on An Yi's forehead, chest, Dantian, and limbs.

This soul summoning ritual is most effective when performed by blood relatives, but unfortunately, I am not his biological sister.

However, I couldn't think about that right now.

I bit my fingertip, drew blood, and smeared it on his lips. Then, I formed a spell seal with my hands in front of my chest and chanted: "Wandering soul, where do you linger? The three souls descend, the seven spirits come forth. Open the gates of heaven, open the gates of earth; let the five generals escort the soul back! Urgent as the law commands! Command!"

I slapped my hand onto Shen An Yi's forehead, and the talismans on him lit up, shimmering with golden light.

Yet, he remained utterly motionless.

How could this be?

I tried again, but still no results.

I panicked and immediately logged into Black Rock TV on my phone, calling out in the group chat for help. Eventually, Jiu Lingzi came online.

"What’s the matter again?" he said, sounding very impatient.

I didn’t hold back and explained the situation regarding the soul summoning. Jiu Lingzi replied, "Either your brother’s soul has completely dissipated."

I froze, feeling a chill run down my spine, my mind going blank.

The soul has dissipated? That meant total death; even if the body was still alive, it would merely be a walking corpse.

He would never wake up again.

"However, if the soul is dead, the body won't last long either. Your brother's body is very healthy, indicating that his soul is still alive."

My lips twitched. Could you please say that without taking a breath?

Jiu Lingzi continued, "Or, your brother's soul is no longer in the mortal realm."

"Not in the mortal realm?" I exclaimed, "What do you mean?"

"You really don’t understand? How can you be so stupid?" he retorted harshly. "His soul may have gone to the Underworld, or it might be in the Celestial Realm, or even in one of the three thousand great worlds or the three thousand small worlds beyond the Three Realms."

My heart turned cold again—how was that different from it having dissipated?
